Drainage
SURFACE DRAINAGE
Information
What surface drainage?
In some courses in Quebec, there are sometimes low points that accumulate water. Often caused by new development, water instead of penetrating the new surface, accumulates and forms puddles. In this case, it is necessary to create a trench which will allow water to percolate into the soil.
“Most of our soils require surface drainage. Particular attention should be given to shallow soils and low permeability. In some cases, underground drainage is not feasible and surface design becomes fashionable to advocate sanitation. Generally, surface drainage is to eliminate any accumulation of water within 24 hours. “Extract art. AGDEX 554, Council of crops Québec inc. / Rural Engineering Commission 1995
